I've been taking pictures since I was 7ish when my Mom let us use the cool new instant Polaroid. I was never that serious about photography, but always seemed to have a camera around. I like to think my mother planted the seeds, but it just took 20 or so years for it to really sprout.
When I started realizing that some of my shots really weren't that bad, I read up on photography and digital SLR cameras. I splurged on a Canon Digital Rebel XT and quickly became hooked on photography.
I'm self taught through several books and lots of trial and error.
Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson is a book I recommend to everyone and it's still one that I reread occasionally.
Scott Kelby's many books have helped me understand photoshop and lightroom better than I ever expected.
All the photos on this site are available as prints up to 11x14. If you're interested in larger sizes or purchasing a matted, framed, or even canvas version, please

I hope you enjoy my photos as much as I enjoy taking them!
